This policy aims to explain how personal data is treated at Amellie, as well as to ensure compliance with the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD) and other international regulations on the subject (such as the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation) .
In order to complete the purchase of products (fabrics, accessories, trims, …) and patterns on our website, we ask customers to make a brief registration with personal information, such as: name, tax identifier (for Brazil only), e-mail, telephone, contact and billing addresses. This information is collected for the following purposes:
- Access to your digital pattern (e-pattern) through our website.
- Delivery of physical products through carrier services.
- Copyright protection of the acquired patterns, where we use a computer algorithm to insert your name and email as a watermark in the PDF (downloadable file).
- Sending information, advertising campaigns and satisfaction surveys.
- Issuing of invoices and other legal purposes.
Bank and payment details may be requested to process payment on our website. These data are not available directly to Amelie, being forwarded to the payments service complying to all technical and other requirements to protect customer data and following all security processes (such as PCI-DDS: Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) of these partners.
In addition, we also use cookies, which are text files generated and stored in your browser or device by websites, applications and online ads, in order to improve the performance and the experience of our customers.
INFORMATION SECURITY
Our website is hosted by DigitalOcean, the operator responsible for the availability and storage of information, which also has the best security practices in the market and follows the standards required by ecommerce platforms such as WooCommerce (which is used by Amellie), Magento and others. - We use several payment services such as Cielo, Stone, Pagar.me, PagHiper, PayPal, PagSeguro, MercadoPago, WireCard and Stripe.
- E.g. tracking information for digital media advertising campaigns such as Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok and Google; facilitation of interactions with the site, etc.
These data, although stored in DigitalOcean, are accessible only by Amelie, using digital certificate and state-of-the-art encryption technology and may be accessed only from specified machines on the server. It is worth noting that we do not share data with third parties (except with the payment and digital marketing partners mentioned above) without our customer’s express consent, except in the case of a judicial request.
